Trusted friend is a contact that can receive and Alert SMS after an unknown SIM card is inserted into the user's phone; trusted friend is able to reset the user's forgotten password if needed.

Q2: Which versions of Android are supported?
A2: ESET Mobile Security is compatible with Android 2.0/2.1 (Eclaire), 2.2 (Froyo) and 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is currently not compatible with Android 3.0 (Honeycomb).
Q3: On which carriers does ESET Mobile Security for Android work?
A3: ESET Mobile Security for Android has been tested on Verizon Wireless, Sprint and T-Mobile devices.

Q1: What is ESET Mobile Security for Android?
A1: ESET Mobile Security provides real-time protection against known and emerging threats as well as applications, without impacting performance for your Android-based smartphone and tablet.

A3: There are three ways to contact ESET in order to report a bug, request a feature or ask a question regarding ESET Mobile Security for Android:

Q4: Why do I have to fill out a form to download the beta?
A4: You do not have to fill out the form to download the beta, however, if you do we will be able to contact you via email during the beta test cycle to announce new releases or provide other urgent information.
Q5: How many beta test releases will there be?
A5: ESET does not have a public schedule for when new beta test builds will be released. New beta test builds will be released in response to feedback from bug reports and feature requests as well as to add additional functionality to the software.
Q6: How long will the beta test program run for?
A6: The beta test cycle for ESET Mobile Security for Android will run until the program reaches the necessary levels of quality, performance and reliability.
Q7: What happens at the end of the beta test program?
A7: At the end of the beta test program, a message will be sent to testers who provided a contact email address letting them know the exact date the beta test version ceases to work. If you did not provide contact information, you will only receive notifications through through the program when the beta test version's license has expired.

Known Issues:
- During Scan, if the user selects any button on the device (home, back, option, and search), the scan will stop.
- Spam log does not recognize diacritics.
- If a contact is on SIM card as well as in contact list, the antispam rule does not work.
- Adding groups of contacts to antispam rule list does not work; only last contact from the group is added.
- Threshold values are not applied on periodic security audit.
- Uninstall protection occasionally does not function.
- Text error after successful update - "Successful" is misspelled “sucessfull” (bug 9855)
- Anti-Spam Module - When creating a rule for a specific contact, the “+” feature links you to your Android Contacts; the application crashes and displays “Sorry!: The application EMS (process.com.eset.ems) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again” for facebook or gmail contacts.
