Sales Engineer

Summary:
The ESET Sales Engineer is responsible for high level sales support of the channel managers and Partners (via CMs) providing technical presentations of our products and technology as well as assisting in network installations of our products in both a pre and post sales support role. Pre-sales activities involve technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, features and availability of our Rip & Replace program and assisting CMs and resellers with product evaluations, training of partners, system integrators and resellers. This individual will work closely with both our San Diego-based SEs, CMs as well as supporting our reseller partners within the assigned territory. This position works closely with Channel Managers assisting them to close business opportunities and maintain customer satisfaction. Position interacts with Technical Support and Customer Service representatives.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide/deliver technical training for all ESET products with focus on business product lines to our sales staff/ resellers/CMs and partner team as necessary
  • Provide product demonstrations both in person and via Webex to potential clients
  • Submit weekly reports as required by the VP of INTL sales
  • Respond to reseller requests (email, phone, videoconference) for technical assistance
  • Maintain accurate Outlook calendar for scheduling of your time by sales staff
  • Actively participate at all sales meetings and trainings as required
  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to customers and partners
  • Consult with external customers to interpret customer requirements while providing product application assistance
  • Assist sales force and partners in closing business through on-site visits
  • Participate in trade shows, seminars and other industry events
  • Provide feed-back to product development (product managers) regarding product changes as it relates to customer requirements. Create cumulative request reports on quarterly basis
  • Other duties as assigned

Performance indicators:

  • Number of Webexes completed per month and client/partner satisfaction survey
  • Inbound and outbound call volumes related to assigned job duties
  • Number of Partner Technical Trainings completed per Quarter
  • Number of successfully resolved complex support requests
  • Revenue produced by Rip and Replace Services
  • Revenue from other billable services
    • Quarterly MBO's

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or Professional Services/Consulting experience
  • BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Preferred Certifications in: MCSE, A+, Security+
  • Detailed experience with Microsoft Windows, Solaris, Linux, and Novell systems and advanced computer networking environments
  • Ability to comprehend and convey complex systems and issues in an effective manner, both written and verbally
  • Excellent presentation skills and business communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to close business while achieving a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Training Experience is highly desired
  • Travel Requirements: Approximately 20%
