Director, Business Marketing

Summary:
ESET's Director, Business Marketing will lead a team to develop long-term strategies and near-term demand generation and channel programs to fuel ESET's continuing explosive growth in business security software sales. Key responsibilities include: creating strategies to build business market by profiling customers to target and build programs and promotions that engage specific business/IT functions and industries. The right candidate will also be able to lead implementation of initiatives and tactics to effectively execute against these strategies through online, event, offline and out-of-home marketing programs.

In addition, this individual will work closely with sales to improve internal communications, optimize lead handling processes, develop content and materials to support the channel, and ensure alignment between marketing programs and sales handoff and follow-up. This individual will have a deep understanding of the balance between long-term market development and near-term revenue objectives, and how to optimize resources to achieve both aggressive revenue numbers and long-term share expansion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow ESET's business marketing organization
  • Build a strong brand in the business IT and security communities
  • Develop strategies to accelerate ESETs expansion into SMB and enterprise markets through distribution channels
  • Create and lead dramatic "big idea" programs to expand ESET's business market footprint
  • Drive innovative online and offline marketing to drive business lead generation required to meet revenue targets
  • Analyze and improve business processes to ensure organizational and programmatic scalability
  • Identify high-affinity vertical market opportunities for ESET and create strategies to increase market share in focused communities/markets
  • Manage schedules and priorities for channel marketing, demand generation, and other key business-marketing functions
  • Define, monitor and report against KPIs tracking channel performance and market growth
  • Manage business event/tradeshow marketing
  • Drive creation of business-centric online programs and content, including advertising, social media, web content, events, webinars, etc.
  • Assess the end-to-end customer experience for business clients and identify process, program, service and product improvements to increase customer satisfaction and retention. This includes creation of semi-annual product requirements that support product marketing and development

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in executive and senior managerial marketing positions within a software company
  • Security technology experience is a major plus
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional and cross-department teams to define "big idea" programs and align organizations to goals and implementation plans
  • Deep knowledge of online and offline marketing
  • Ability to generate, monitor and evaluate KPIs to continuously adjust marketing programs
  • Demonstrated ability to meet key objectives on time and within budget
  • Proven capacity to excel in a fast-paced, multifaceted, team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and problem solving abilities
  • Capacity to genuinely think "outside the box" and motivate others to take well-reasoned risks

Education:

  • BSE or BSCS
  • MBA/MSCS or equivalent experience/education

Other:

  • This position requires domestic and occasional international travel (up to 25%)
  • Target compensation based on experience
  • This position reports to the Vice President, Marketing and Research
