ESET HOSTS NEW OFFICE GRAND OPENING

Growing Technology Leader Celebrates New Facility in Downtown San Diego

SAN DIEGO - August 14, 2007 - ESET, the leader in proactive threat protection for the home, small to medium-sized business (SMB) and enterprise computers, today announced the grand opening of a new office in the heart of downtown San Diego. To commemorate the rapid growth, expansion and success of the company, executives will host a grand opening event today at the new location for all ESET employees and friends of the company, as well as the greater San Diego community. The gathering, to take place between 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. PT, is expected to draw local business leaders and dignitaries, as well as the local media.

ESET’s relocation is a direct result of rapid corporate expansion including the addition of 30 new employees since the beginning of the year. The company, which began several years ago in a small apartment in Coronado with a staff of only two employees, is now located on the edge of San Diego’s Little Italy district at 610 West Ash Street. The new location, which is approximately 25,000 square feet and houses companies such as the California State Attorney General’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, GEA Power Cooling and Otay Ranch Group, will provide the space the company needs for its continued growth now and in the future. ESET currently has approximately 80 employees and occupies the top two floors of the building.

“ESET is a welcomed addition to Little Italy,” said Steve Galasso, president of the Board of Directors for Little Italy. “The company’s employees and their continued success bring life, vitality and variety to our rising neighborhood.”

“ESET is committed to the San Diego business community. We are excited about our new location in Little Italy and we hope to continue to contribute to the local economy,” said Anton Zajac, CEO of ESET, who will officially cut the ribbon at the new location during the grand opening ceremony. “We thank all those who have contributed to our continuing growth and success, and we will continue to give back and support not only the rich business environment here, but also community efforts and worthy charities in the San Diego area.”

Also expected to attend are members of various non-profit groups, including San Diego’s Operation Home Front (OHSD), a charitable organization that collects and distributes computers to military families. With ESET’s help, the organization has been able to protect 500 computers with ESET’s antivirus software, ESET NOD32, in order to keep the computers virus-free and up and running. The combined effort ensures that military families remain in close communication with their deployed relatives. If you would like more information about ESET’s involvement with OHSD or other San Diego-based charity efforts, please contact Liz Fraumann or Schwartz Communications, both listed as the press release contacts.
