In the September-October issue of the computer magazine MikroDatorn,
NOD32 was choosen the fastest antivirus program out of ten products
tested.
"The antivirus program that clearly distinguished itself from the rest
was NOD32 […] NOD32 was the antivirus program that stood out the most
in our performance tests. A full virus scan of the whole harddrive only
took two minutes and two seconds, compared to the majority of the other
antivirus programs that needed between five and seven minutes for
accomplishing the same task."
MikroDatorn also tested how much impact the different antivirus
programs had on the overall performance of the computer. NOD32
distinguished itself in this test as well:
"NOD32 performed best with a barely noticable performance impact that
we rounded down to zero percent... The program required so little
resources that it hardly could be measured by our benchmark program
Sysmark 2000."
There is no question about it, the developers at Eset have done a
remarkably fine job in developing NOD32. Not only does NOD32 do an
exellent job in detecting viruses, it does it with lightning speed as
well, and without having negative impact on performance.
Eset, congratulations!
