Selected viruses, spyware, and other threats: sorted alphabetically
Trakia |
The Trakia family of viruses consists of four members.
Trakia.561, Trakia.570
These are resident COM and EXE infectors. Both of them redirect the interrupt INT 21h service to their code and infect files when they are executed. They are able to attack even files with attribute set to “only for reading”. When infecting they install their own service INT 24h. The variant Trakia.561 does not attack COM files longer than 55000 bytes, Trakia.570 does not attack files longer than 60000 bytes. Moreover, Trakia.570 sets the date of file origin to a nonsensical value 0-0-80.
Trakia.651
Unlike the both shorter variants this virus attacks only COM files. The virus contains a destructive routine. It is activated at every 6th opening of files with extensions DWG, DXF, DWF and DXG for writing or reading. If these conditions are fulfilled the virus writes randomly found data into these files. The program AutoCAD uses the extensions DWG and DFX.
Trakia.1070
This is a resident COM and EXE infector. It attacks files when they are executed, opened, created or their attributes modified.
